How easy to wear the garment of grouch,
To scowl and mutter, to grumble and slouch.
The garment of praise is much harder to wear,
For it's light and slips off if not fastened with care.
But oh, what a difference when day turns to night,
From the ache of the grouch, to the joy of delight!
How the spirit breathes freely and flies to the One
To whom all adoration is rightfully sung.
So wear, by His grace, on both gray and bright days,
Not the garment of grouch, but the garment of praise.
